May 3, 2007 - Delivery | | The delivery of my new 2007 Chateau was a breeze. I had stopped by two days earlier to do a little pre-scouting of the technicians PDI work. I love how RV Town let me wander right on back and talk with Tim, my assigned tech. He was friendly and helpful.
Warranty items found were: overhead shade unstrung, reordered.
we talked about the Maxxair covers and their benefits, I think I will get 2.
My dump hose has the red waste add ons that make it to big to fit in the bumper, so I popped of the end piece that attaches to the 90 degree end elbow and then it all slid in fine.
I am thinking I will caulk where the shower surround connects to the pan, it doesn't look clean and neat.
Could not find the Cruise Control. Will need to investigate that.
And that was really it. we fussed around and made everything work. Then I drove it home and right away my concerns about it grounding out on out hilly driveway were put to rest, the new rig has great ground clearance in back.
I spent the entire evening taking the 10 rubbermaid boxes of stuff out and finding homes in the RV. I threw away what I didnt need, or hadn't used and I labelled everything as I organized. It looks great! (I will add pics)
I called a local Chevy Dealer about the Cruise, they told me that cruise was not a standard option on the Express van and I should get an aftermarket one. I called a mobile installer and scheduled the install for the next tuesday.
I filled up the exterior storage immediately, it is has minimal options. For the large under bed compartment, I will reuse my containers, two will fit, with a rollup table and one chair, or two chairs and no table. The level risers and some tools also fit around the edges. My other RV had much more exterior storage.
